Cup, coffee
Coffee cup, mixed or duck egg paste, with a slight green translucency; standing on a rounded foot rim, London shape tapering and angled sides, narrow, almost straight ogee handle; decorated (in a different hand from the remaining pieces of this service) on the interior with a broad band of underglaze blue with two groups of red and white chrysanthemum heads (n.b. no gilding to centres) and gilt scrolls and foliage between two oval reserves of flowers on a white ground, the exterior with two pale blue pierced rocks with a bird and flowers and foliage above an oriental fence. Swansea set pattern 219.
