The archbishop in pontificals standing below a diminutive canopy, short mitre, embroidered broad sleeves to his dalmatic, with rationale upon his breast, also the pallium bearing five crosses paty and fixing pins; usual posture. In field, to either side, in a narrow niche with crocketted roof: dext. St.Paul with sword, sin. St.Peter, his keys in his right hand, a book in his left. Beaded inner border The legend is the first to describe an archbishop as Primate of England.
