Tudor pewter knife case
Two fragments with traces of organic material (wood) in parts of the openwork design. They originally formed part of a knife case, the plain fragment forming the top of the case body, having a narrow V-shaped central opening for a single-edged knife blade (width about 20mm). The lid would have had four suspension cords passing through the tubular 'lugs', which would have permitted the knife case to be suspended from a belt
