Jug, earthenware, standing on a spreading stepped roughly heaxagonal foot-rim, bolous body composed of four convex panels, lobed lip-rim, beak spout most of which has broken off, double curved scroll handle, the exterior body of the jug moulded with to one side a raised head and shoulders portrait in relief of a female figure in low-cut dress and headress, below the figure a raised scrolling banner impressed with the inscription "PRINCESS CHARLOTTE", to the other side a raised head and shoulders portrait in relief of a male figure in a suit with rosette, below the figure a raised scrolling banner impressed with the inscription "PRINCE LEOPOLD", around the lower body a band of raised moulded acanthus leaves, around the neck a pattern of raised moulded scrolling leaves and floral motifs, two sprays of raised moulded leaves extend down the body below the spout; the moulded figures painted in polychrome enamels and pink lustre, the scrolling banners edged in pink lustre, the moulded acanthus leaves to the lower body and the moulded leaves to the neck painted in pink lustre and green enamel, the moulded leaves below the spout highlighted in pink lustre, pink lustre foliate motifs to the body to either side of the spout and the handle, pink lustre bands around the foot-rim and the interior and exterior lip-rim, a pattern of pink lustre leaves between two pink lustre bands to the handle. A large chip missing from the neck near the handle.
