Roman copper alloy scabbard slide
Slide with a pointed terminal at the top and an openwork terminal at the bottom. The studs for the attachment are of iron. The slide was fixed to the scabbard by two or three studs protruding from the underside which were pushed through holes in the scabbard and then probably secured by glue. In addition, binding was wrapped around both the slide and the scabbard.
