Badge 'My Pronouns They/Them' worn by Vince Hayward. Vince is non-binary and pansexual, and wears a pronoun badge to make people aware of the pronouns they use.

Vince wrote this about the importance of pronoun badges to them “Most people have pronouns; she/her, he/him, they/them, etc., and it’s how we refer to people other than their name, therefore it’s important that we use the correct pronouns for the individuals we are talking to and about. Only the individual in question knows the pronouns they are comfortable with and so it is important that others do not assume their pronouns, which is where pronoun pins and badges become useful when one’s pronouns are not known. Pronoun pins and badges give the opportunity to refer to someone correctly, especially in instances where an introduction is not available, e.g. when being served by a cashier in a shop. They can also remove the bias of other nouns used to refer to someone, e.g. sir/ma’am, when their identity does not align with these prefixes. As someone who is non-binary and pronouns are they/them, I wear a pronoun badge to do just that, as most people still hold the bias of using he/him for masculine presenting people and she/her for feminine presenting people, instead of asking or not-assuming that person’s pronouns. It is also important to remember that anyone can use any combination of pronouns and that pronouns do not dictate one’s identity, and if there is any uncertainty to knowing someone’s pronouns; simply asking that person is a sure-fire way of knowing what their pronouns are.”
