Seal impression: Medieval personal
A shield, couche quarterly, 1. and 4. a lion rampant within a bordure engrailed, GREY of HETON; 2. and 3. a lion rampant, POWYS WENWYNWYN; over all an escutcheon : TANKERVILLE. Crest, on a helm with mantling of foilage, a ram's head. Supporters: dext. a four-footed winged dragon: sin. a hind. (The bracketed portion of the legend is uncertain, and has never been satisfactorily deciphered).
