Mole trap
coiled spring type mole trap; consists of a wooden barrel trap open at both ends, for inserting in the mole track, and a coliled spring above ground from the end of which three cords are slung, the centre portion of the barrel on the lower side is V-cut; on the top side three holes of five-sixteenths inches each are drilled along the top of the barrel; through the tow end holes cords are slung and set with earth or clay; there is another five-sixteenths hole in line with the centre hole, through this another cord is inserted and takes the pressure of the coiled spring; this cord is wound around a forked wedge the end of which is placed into the centre hole of the three top holes, when the wedge is disturbed the mole is hanged by the cords; 4 coils in spring
