Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, circular shape, tapering foot-rim slanting inwards with an incised ring around it, curving sides and spreading rim, a slightly raised edge to the well; transfer-printed in blue with to the centre of the well the 'Willow' pattern, to one side of the scene three figures cross a bridge overlooked by a willow tree, beyond them is a boat on an expanse of water, to the other side is a pagoda surrounded by trees with a zigzag fence in the foreground, two birds fly over the scene, border to the well of alternating lattice-work and diaper panels, border to the rim of ornate scrolls, wheel shapes, Greek key shapes, and other geometric shapes on a blue scaled ground.
