Child's dress
Cream silk child's dress, 1932. Embroidered by H. Evelyn Morgan of Swansea, and awarded first prize in the Daily Express homecrafts competition. The dress is unworn. High waisted with smocked yoke. Short puff sleeves (smocked), and scalloped collar. Collar and sleeves trimmed with net, with rosebud embroidery. Front of bodice and front and back of skirt decorated with panels of drawn thread work with rosebud embroidery. Eaborate smocking on front and back of yoke in cream, blue and pink silks. Back fastening with six pairs of covered buttons, each individually embroidered.
