Dish, pale buff coloured earthenware, circular shape, standing on a striaght-sided slightly flaring foot-rim, spreading sides, flat rim; the upperside of the dish covered with a slightly blue tinged white tin-glaze and crudely painted in blue, yellow, puce and green with a scene showing the figures of Adam and Eve standing to either side of a spreading tree issuing a number of large yellow flowers and around which a snake is coiled, Adam to the left of the tree has short brown hair, Eve to the right of the tree has long blond hair, the scene enclosed within two brown bands, a blue dashed border to the rim, the underside of the dish covered with a clear glaze.
