Teapot and cover
Teapot, earthenware, squared-off foot-rim, globular body with inset flanged lip-rim, short curving spout, high square-shouldered loop handle, round domed cover with flat collar-like rim, a nipple-shaped finial to the centre of the cover and a pierced steam-hole to one side; boldly painted in reds, greens and browns with to one side of the teapot a spreading spray of dog roses and to the other side a smaller spray of rose leaves, green bands around the lip-rim, the lip of the spout and the rim of the cover, the handle outlined in green and with a green dash, the finial painted green.
