Woollen canvas ground, embroidered with coloured silks chiefly in cross and chain stitches and French knots. Border of floral wavy stem. In middle: Biblical verses within octagonal outline, with maker's inscription, place and teacher's name below. Remaining space filled with various floral and bird motifs and initials beneath crowns. At bottom: a large manor house flanked on both sides by a row of three cottages and floral motifs.
