Roman samian dish
This is 52/018 ii) in the report as i) is not within the bag.
Form 36 or 42, Central Gaulish. The fabric is very pale and slightly micaceous and the patchy glaze is brown. Occasional vessels in this Lezoux fabric seem to have been exported after A.D. 125, but most of the known examples fall in the range c.A.D. 80 - 120. Such pieces are even less common in Britain than the pre-Flavian or early-Flavian ones.
