Roman glass flask
Fragmentary glass bottle. Cylindrical neck of the bottle survives with 10 extremely thin fragments, each no larger than 10mm.
Glass perfume or ointment bottle found in a stone coffin with the skeleton of a Roman man.
The bottle, along with a shale bowl were the remains of grave goods that he would need to smooth his journey into the afterlife. The burial dates to about 200 AD and was found on the site of a Roman cemetery outside Caerleon fortress.
