Sampler
LINEN, embroidered with coloured silks in darning and cross stitches. Divided into two horizontal compartments by a zig-zag stem with buds. In the upper compartment are three rows; the first two contain twenty rectangles of pattern darning, the third four crosses with portions cut out and closely darned. The lower compartment contains an inscription.
