Answer book
A Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1961-2, one of four received from Evan Evans, Gwytherin, Abergele, containing notes on various subjects from Llansannan parish, including the family history of Thomas the Crown, who was a Smithy in Llansannan, cockerel fighting, burials, customs, the hiring fair of Llansannan and poetry.
Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum in 1958 to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
