Jug, earthenware, standing on a rounded oblong foot, oblong body with bulbous sides moulded with to each side a raised round medallion, raised neck moulded with a pattern of incised vertical lines and moulded leaf shapes, beak spout with foliate moulding to the underside, angular scrolled handle moulded in the form of a winged female figure; the reserved medallions covered with a blue ground, those to the front and either side of the body transfer-printed in black with scenes showing a young female figure seated in a garden setting, the medallions enclosed by a wreath of stylized foliage in pink lustre between two pink lustre bands, the exterior neck decorated with alternating pink lustre stripes and stylized green leaves, the foliate moulding to the underside of the spout painted in pink lustre, pink lustre bands around the lower body, interior and exterior lip-rim and spout, the moulded female figure to the handle painted in pink lustre with further patterns of stylized foliage in pink lustre to the handle.
