Chess set
Late 17th century chess set in crimson and green stained ivory. Once the property of the Ven. Archdeacon Benjamin Millingchamp, D.D. (1756-1829), Archdeacon of Carmarthen and Prebendary of St David's, of Plas Llangoedmor, Cardigan. The set travelled with him when he sailed to Madras, where for over 20 years he was Chaplain of Fort St George, and it has been twice around the world.
