East Moors works blast furnace dep, correspondence
Typed in black ink on cream paper.Two pages stapled together. Letter to Howell R. Jones from W.E. Simons. The letter is regarding a conversation that took place with Sir Felix Pole and a Mr Humphries (Cardiff shipowner). Sir Felix Pole had stated that he would be willing to pay more for rails produced in Dowlais than he had been asked to pay; the prices had been lowered by £1 per ton to meet competition from the North East Coast. Dated March 17th, 1926.
