Roman copper alloy Polden Hill brooch
Part of a copper alloy brooch of Polden Hill type with sidwings decorated by a hatched band along its outer edge. A ridge runs down the bow from the chord hook and the circular plates on either side are decorated with short incised lines around their edge. Most of the bow and the foot are missing. Brooches of Polden Hill from have been found at Whitton (Jarrett and Wrathmell 1981) and Usk (Manning 1993, p78-80, fig. 25).
