Jug, hard-paste porcelain, pear-shaped body, short beak spout with moulded scrolls, double-curved scroll handle with foliate moulding to the thumb-spur; finely painted in puce with to the front of the body a landscape with classical masonry and three figures in Eighteenth century costume, floral sprays and sprigs in puce around the rest of the body, the spout, handle and rim picked out in gilt.
