Cup, tea and saucer

Teacup and saucer, hard-paste porcelain, quatrefoil shape, tea cup standing on a foot rim, flared sides, twig handle, quatrofoil-shaped lip; decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt with four panels, alternating white panels containing landscape scenes with Watteau figures, one of a musician playing a lute, another of a seated figure and a standing figure, with two yellow ground panels containing sprays of flowers, brown border to figurative panels, gilt border between panels, rim, lip and handle, ornamental gilt border to inner lip, spray of flowers to bottom. Saucer, standing on a foot rim, spreading sides, quatrofoil-shaped lip; decorated in the centre with a spray of flowers, surrounded by four fan-shaped panels, alternately panels of yellow ground and flowers with white panels containing landscape scenes with Watteau figures, both with two seated figures, one with a figure playing the flute, the other with a figure leaning on a stick, ornamental gilt border to lip and panel partitions.
