Vase, hard-paste porcelain, inverted pear-shaped body rising from a narrow stem that terminates into a spreading circular base and with a narrow neck flaring out at the rim, the rim has a shaped edge, the vase is supported on a square pedestal base with indented corners, on either side of the vase are two angular handles that are moulded into leaves onto the body and travel up the length of the body terminating into scrolls at the neck; the square base and the rim are gilded, the edges of the stem are decorated with a wide gilt border and a gilt beaded border, the circular spreading base and the handles and the bottom of the body are moulded with white leaves painted with gilt flourishes, the body and the stem are decorated with a turquoise blue ground and overpainted with flower sprays, the front of the vase is reserved with a large panel outlined with an elaborate gold border and painted with exotic birds in a landscape.
