Basket
A rectangular market basket with a lath handle and removable lid. The handle continues around the base where it is crossed by a second lath running along the length of the basket to reinforce the framework. The lid is of plain weave in two sections, with a gap for the handle. The gap is closed by a lath stretcher covered with whipped, split willow attached to the base of the handle.
