S.S. BARON KINNAIRD (3355gt). Built 1927 by Napier & Miller at Old Kilpatrick on Clydeside, for H. Hogarth & Co., who managed the Kelvin Line. She was torpedoed and sunk by U-653 in the North Atlantic on 12 March 1943 with the loss of her master and all 40 crew whilst on passage between Loch Ewe and Macoris.
