Post-Medieval ceramic floor tile
These tiles are of an off-white/ buff fabric. Their surfaces have been worn to a smooth matt finish, except for some spots of high gloss that survive in the surface hollows. There are small nailholes left by a template in each corner or in opposite ones. The designs are outlined in dark blue and filled with washes of dark and light blue, yellow and orange; they are composed of geometric figures filled with stylised leaf ornament, which onthe dark areas is reserved in white. All three designs are repeating patterns formed fro single tiles.
