Cup and saucer
Cup, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a very short cylindrical foot-rim, shallow bowl with rounded curvng sides, loop handle with foliate moulding; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the front of the exterior body an oval panel painted with a view of a hare, the panel enclosed by a puce trellis-like border entwined by ribbon-tied flowers, to the rest of the exterior sides of the body are two floral sprigs, to the interior bottom of the bowl a pansy sprig and a small insect, a gilt edge to the lip-rim, the handle picked out in puce and gilt. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, circular shape with short cylindrical foot-rim and curving sides; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well an oval panel painted with a view of a fawn, the panel enclosed by a puce trellis-like border entwined by ribbon-tied flowers, around the sides of the well are three scattered floral sprigs, a gilt edge to the rim.
