Sampler
LINEN, unbleached, embroidered with coloured wools in cross, square and chain stitches. Various detached designs: conventional trees and flowers, star, bird, ship, human figure, etc. In the middle are the initials "M M". There is a border of a floral wavy stem. Worked about 1835 at a ladies' school at Caernarvon.
