Coffee cup, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim, with a curved base, straight sides with slightly flared lip; ear-shaped loop handle; transfer printed in underglaze blue, with the so-called 'Elephant pattern' - a Chinoiserie style landscape with a willow tree, two large flowers, and a fret-work fence surrounding a garden containing two intricately shaped bushes; inside lip, a narrow floret trellis border, with Chinoiserie flowers below; underglaze blue print outlined and detailed in gilt; a gilt band to the foot rim and lip.
