Trelewis drift mine, photograph
Controlled flooding of Trelewis Drift Mine during closing down procedure. View showing dam wall at entrance of drift side. The square structure is a fan to evacuate air build up behind dam forced up by rising water. This area had to be monitored for build up of black damp etc. Ink stamp on reverse with date and inscription.
