R.T.B. Steelworks Gowerton (painting)
Oil on board painting showing the pitside of the open hearth melting shop at Elba Steelworks, where the artist worked as a furnace maintainance bricklayer. The painting has a label on the back stating that it was exhibited in "Industrial Wales: the Seventh Exhibition of Contemporary Welsh Painting, Drawing and Sculpture 1960" (copy in library and related material). This exhibition was sponsored by RTB. Signed 'Eric Rhyd' bottom right.
