Cabinet cup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain, saucer with footring and cushion profile, cup with circular footring, trumpet-shaped foot, bellied bowl with an everted lip and a scroll-shaped handle with thumbpiece and closed with scrolled moulding, rising above the lip; painted in enamels in the French Empire style - a buff band around saucer and cup reserved with gilt-outlined ovals painted in pink with a landscape alternating with a pink fan-oval on a marbled ground, the buff ground painted in dark green with outline panels containing a dolphin? alternating with a vase and ribbons, the whole band edged with broad gilt bands, and, on the inner and lower sides respectively with a gilt wave with pendant drops, gilt pattern of fronded scrolls inside cup rim, further gilt bands to saucer well, and around cup foot and rim, cup handle gilt
