Cup and saucer
Cup, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curvng sides, loop handle with foliate moulding; finely painted in puce with to the front of the exterior body a view of European birds perched on spreading branches, scattered butterflies around the rest of the exterior body and to the interior bottom of the bowl, a gilt edge to the lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, circular shape with short cylindrical foot-rim and curving sides; finely painted in puce with to the centre of the well a view of European birds perched on spreading branches, scattered butterflies around the sides of the well, a gilt edge to the rim. The rim of the saucer chipped.
