Cup, coffee and saucer
Weesp (fl.1759-1770)
Cup and saucer, hard-paste porcelain, cup standing on a foot rim, tall sides tapering inwards at base, ear-shaped handle; decorated in iron-red enamel, opposite the handle with an exotic bird with long head feathers in a tree, one leaf sprig and one flower sprig eitherside of handle, border of iron-red vertical lines with a yellow foliate outline and hanging green leaves, dark purple border to lip, yellow and purple highlighting to handle. Saucer standing on a foot rim, spreading sides, decorated in the centre in iron-red with a bird in a tree, border of iron-red vertical lines with yellow foliate ouline work and hanging green leaves, dark purple border to lip.
