Jones, Lilly (Married to David Jones, who fought in First World War, with brother Oswald. David and Oswald were originally from Llanidloes, Montgomeryshire but had settled in Barry. Both returned alive in 1918-19.)

Large white cotton tablecloth with a 30cm deep crocheted border featuring doves of peace. Each corner of the border is crocheted with the inscription' Peace 1919'. Made by Lilly Jones and Mary Ann Sellby to celebrate the safe return to Barry of brothers David and Oswald Jones from the war. Lilly was David's wife; Mary Ann was their sister.
