Quilt
Wholecloth quilt, late 18th century. Maker unknown. Made from a previously embroidered piece of fine muslin. Embroidery consists of rosebuds alternating with red spots. Quilting bears no relation to the embroidery, and consists of a central roundel with leaf and other designs set in a rectangle of trellis quilting. Wavy stem border with leaves and flower design with roundels at the corners.
