Study for A Humument print series - see also NMW A 25676-85 and 25690-94 The work consists of a printed page from a Victorian novel, A Human Document, real or fictitious - with a painted design over the text, masking most of it, except the words noted in the inscriptions field, which in the completed prints, form texts of their own.
