Late Bronze Age bronze casting jet
Casting jet - South Wales Type socketed axe
Quarter fragment of four runner casting jet. Oval shaped jet. Shallow reservoir with a rough and irregular concave shaped top surface and convex shaped under surface. One straight runner visible on this quarter fragment. Runner removed very close to mouth of socket of axe as indicated by its length and enlarged dimensions at base. Dark green patina with light green carbonate concretions.
