Loading sheet steel coils (from wagons allocated to Margam) aboard ore carrier M.V. KNIGHTSGARTH at Newport Docks. The wagons used at this date were ex-tube wagons "fitted" for fast running between Port Talbot and Newport.
Ore carrier KNIGHTSGARTH (10760 gt) was built 1961 by Blyth Dry Dock & Ship Building Co. Ltd., Blyth with engines by Doxford Engineering. She was owned by St Denis Shipping Co. (managed by Cory Maritime Ltd).
