Iron Age iron bow brooch
Spring and bow of an iron flat bow brooch of Stead's group B (Stead, 1991) or Hull and Hawkes group 1C (Hull & Hawkes, 1987). Probrably originally a mock-spring secured by a cylinder rivet. The bow is short and flat becoming a rather elongated catchplat, the foot of which has broken off.
