Plate, cockle
Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Cockle plate, earthenware, circular shape, tapering foot-rim slanting inwards with an incised ring around it, curving sides and spreading rim, eight notches and lobes to the rim; transfer-printed in brown with to the centre of the well a flower head surrounded by foliage, further flower heads and scrolls around the sides of the well, stippled and spotted brown ground to the rim.
