Model of Gorsedd
Miniature Gorsedd stone to be used with wooden toy models of Gorsedd of the Bards. The stone has an iron rod protruding from the base for mounting. Around 1899, the Herald Bard - Arlunydd Pen-y-garn made a detailed plan of the Gorsedd Circle. According to this plan the stone to the east, the Maen Cyfamod, and the two Portal stones formed the shape of the mystic mark. For a time it was fashionable to dress the stones with oak and mistletoe leaves.
Part of a model of the 1914 Gorsedd of the Bards. Made by the Vale of Clwyd Toy Factory in Trefnant. The company provided employment for wounded soldiers during and after the First World War. As a result of the outbreak of war, the Bangor National Eisteddfod of 1914 was postponed until 1915.
