Preissler, Ignaz (Hausmaler painter, 1676-1741)
Teapot and lid, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a foot rim, globular body, straight spout and loop handle; bottom half of body and the shallow domed lid moulded with flutes, bead finial. Painted in black and gold with border husk on foot, black ground to flutes, and upper part of body decorated with panoramic chinese landscape with five figures, animals and buildings. Lid decorated with similar border and black enamel fluting.
