Sugar bowl
Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Sugar bowl, circular, footring, cushion ring above foot ring, sides slightly lobed. Decorated in a light underglaze blue with a continuous transfer pattern, forming a deep border inside and outside bowl. Band of shallow jui shaped scales each containing a half flower head around rim above a double band of shaded blue scales broken by four quatrefoile reserves, each containing an oriental flower. Quatrefoiles almost evenly spaced - on one side the edge of a fifth quatrefoile appears. Brown staining inside bowl.
