Teacup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain with a white translucency; cup standing on a prominent tapered foot rim with rounded spreading sides, and loop handle; saucer standing on a flat unglazed foot with rounded spreading sides; both painted with a wide Empire style border of red scrolling foliage and green leaves, between alternating gilt leaf swags below stylised tulip-like flowers, and a gilt anthemion emerging from a tapering vase; gilt bands to foot rim, cup and saucer lip, and gilt fleurs-de-lys on the handle.
