Sauce-tureen and cover
Earthenware pearlglazed sauce tureen and cover, moulded, brown enamel rims. Transfer-printed in underglaze blue. Around foot a band of conventional decoration of suns in squares above a border of pendant lappets. Swansea Willow Pattern on both sides of body. To the left and right a vignette of three little oriental houses on a hill and two little boats in the sea. Willow pattern repeated on cover. Pen border around rim. Handle moulded and applied with floral pattern. Trumpet shaped foot. Boat shaped body. Domed lid. Oval ring handle moulded at the bottom with two bound sheaves crossed.
