Post-medieval silver gilt finger ring
Silver gilt posy ring with internal inscription
The ring is very worn on outside but probably once gilt all over. The broad hoop has a plain outer surface, and a flattened D cross-section. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text: FEARE + GOD + ONLY, in Roman capitals.
