Roman copper alloy Kraftig Profilierte brooch
Unfortunately the brooch is fragmentary and much of it is lost. Short flat side wings protect the spring. The upper part of the bow is sharply angled at the head; it is bulbous as it widens out to two side points then tapers gradually to the triple moulded waist knob, the larger central moulding of which is carried round the back of the bow in flattened from; there are also traces of the lower moulding on the back. The leg is lost.
