Bowl, earthenware, standing on a rounded waisted foot, the lower body with short concave sides, then rising to rounded curving sides in the upper body; transfer-printed in blue with to the exterior sides of the bowl the 'Cottage Girl' pattern, in the foreground a female figure holds a hoop around her body whilst stooping to pick up two wooden pails, a playful dog looks on, in the background a rural landscape with trees, hills and a house, a spray of flowers to the interior bottom of the bowl, wide border to the interior sides of the bowl of flowers, foliage and ornate scrolls enclosing diaper and scale patterns, narrow dentilled borders to the interior and extrerior lip-rim.
